To celebrate the LA launch of his new book How About Never, photographer and skateboarder Jerry Hsu will be in conversation with Jesse Pearson, former Vice magazine editor-in-chief and manager of Arcana Books.
Taken over the last decade in Los Angeles, Hsu’s photographs entangle allusions to hope and despair, beauty and pain, in an atmospheric and uncanny sequence. The disparate and dissonant strands of disfigurement across Hsu's images reach a beguiling harmony, together looking to destruction as a potential source of change and rebirth.
