Documenting the opening of Frank Gehry’s Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Gala presents an idiosyncratic ethnography of the revellers, posers, workers, and valets who move in the building’s orbit. Approaching the spectacle through its peripheries, Sekula offers a wry study of LA’s equivocal identity.  The film will only be available via MACK during the live transmission.

In this live visual presentation, Fulford guides us through an intimate flip-through of the book and speaks about the inspiration, asides and philosophical anecdotes behind his photographs. This unique lecture offers a playful and insightful parallel narrative to the book.
