Sunday 28 April

Hauser & Wirth Publishers, MACK, and SPBH Editions are pleased to present a day of free experimental performance and film, from artists including Teju Cole, Carmen Winant, Stephen Shore, Justine Kurland, RaMell Ross, and Vince Aletti. This programme will take place within the gallery, auditorium, and bookshop of Hauser & Wirth’s remarkable 18th Street space in New York.

Tuesday 30 April

Exteriors: Annie Ernaux and Photography brings together the celebrated writing of Annie Ernaux, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, with photographs from Maison Européenne de la Photographie’s collection. To celebrate the launch of the book and exhibition of the same name at Maison Européenne de la Photographie, ⁠Lou Stoppard will be in conversation with writer and journalist Lauren Collins about Exteriors and the dynamic interplays between writing and seeing.

To mark the launch of Trophy Lives: On the Celebrity as an Art Object, join us for an evening of readings in Soho on the subject of the celebrity. Featuring Philippa Snow, Emma Garland, Christina Newland, and Oliver Zarandi.

Wednesday 8 May

Lindokuhle Sobekwa will be in conversation with curator Renée Mussai for the John Kobal Foundation Fellowship Lecture ‘Retracing Memory: Going Deeper’. The talk will explore how his photography connects lived experiences and ancestral narratives to the wider socio-political fabric of contemporary South Africa and beyond.
